Get in Touch Today
At Sparks Film School, you’re in business for yourself, but never by yourself. One of the real highlights of our year is the Annual Franchisee Conference: a day dedicated to the collective success and growth of our entire network.
It’s a vital opportunity for our school owners to step away from the day-to-day and focus on the bigger picture. We gather to celebrate our wins, share best practice, and blueprint our strategy for the year ahead.
The most recent summit focused on keeping our partners at the cutting edge of the industry. We explored how to future-proof our schools, ensuring our programmes stay relevant to the changing world our students are growing up in. This included looking at new ways to grow, such as our Photography Clubs and Make a Movie Birthday parties, as well as an insightful session on the role of AI in the creative arts.
The day is a perfect blend of professional development and genuine social connection, usually wrapping up with a team meal and a chance to relax with a group of like-minded people. It ensures that every Sparks franchisee feels supported, inspired, and ready to lead their school into a successful year ahead.

I love coming to this conference. It's great. Um, this is my I think it might be my fourth one. Um it's just what you
0:15
15 seconds
going away from the course at the end or going away from the conference at the end just feeling really positive about the future and that kind of it's this is
0:24
24 seconds
something that has legs where sometimes when you're by yourself and you're kind of in your own territory sometimes you kind of you can't quite see the wood for
0:32
32 seconds
the trees or you can't can't quite see the future where it gives you clarity.

So, um, yeah, it's a it's an excellent it's an excellent thing that Dan and Donna have kind of set up here.

Like Christine said earlier, it's good to come and meet, um, other franchises,
0:48
48 seconds
talk to them, learn from them. Um, like I think I've already filled up half a page or a page full of my booklet with different ideas and stuff from other

franchises. um also reminds you that in like when you are struggling on a Saturday morning to get up and um get
1:05
1 minute, 5 seconds
the class going um that there's a lot of us across the country all doing the same thing to be able to give these kids a a
1:14
1 minute, 14 seconds
good morning. Um it also gives us the opportunity to kind of step back and think oh what things could we be doing differently? What
1:22
1 minute, 22 seconds
things could we be improving on? Is there areas we want to get into? So it's quite good to kind of step away and be a bit more businessled and yeah direction led. But yeah,
1:32
1 minute, 32 seconds
also speak nice day out in London. It's nice.

Nice day out in London. Speakers are always really helpful and we've always got um like the talk we just had about um AI was really useful. I really love
1:43
1 minute, 43 seconds
attending the Sparks conferences uh because one, you get to meet everybody and talk about the exact same um things,
1:51
1 minute, 51 seconds
the goods, the bads, what we're all looking to do and change. You get to hear from different people and talk about ideas that maybe you're struggling
2:00
2 minutes
with that you didn't realize could be easily solved or um that everybody's in the same boat as you. And that's sometimes a really nice feeling of okay,
2:09
2 minutes, 9 seconds
actually it is going okay. Um, so I think this is like a really great opportunity just to see and also see where it's grown, especially from where
2:16
2 minutes, 16 seconds
we were a few years ago at the first conference and seeing um, you know, somewhere in Wales or hearing about um,
2:23
2 minutes, 23 seconds
somebody in Greece, it it kind of pushes you to to want to do better.
