Webpage

We build and host your dedicated branch webpage on the Sparks website. Featuring advanced SEO and GEO-optimisation, your site is engineered to ensure local parents find you easily and can book workshops in seconds.

Training

We'll deliver a live 13 day training programme for you. This includes delivered by Sparks company directors. Training includes: Workshop delivery, workshop standards, marketing, sales, customer service, project management, child safeguarding, health and safety and compliance, business planning and business management. Franchisees will also receive first aid and external safeguarding to ensure all sites are OFSTED compliant. We ensure you are launch-ready: by the end of your training, your venue contracts are signed, your first staff team is trained, and your courses are live. 

A franchisee should allow approximately 2 months for training, and then an additional two months' marketing window before the first filmmaking workshops will be delivered for the public.

Marketing Bundle

Franchisees will receive flyers, posters, banners, signs, stickers, digital templates, press releases and social media announcements. We'll also show you all of our ready made templates so you have everything you need to spread the word in your local area. We'll also train you in taster workshops and sample sessions so that you can demonstrate the offer to local schools and target groups. 

Filmmaking Equipment Bundle
We'll provide you with 6 cameras, 6 tripods, 6 clapperboards, green screen, HDMI cables, SD cards, first aid kits, grip equipment and 3 light reflectors: everything you'll need to run your first filmmaking workshops.

Ongoing Support

You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. After the training is done, we don't go anywhere! You'll be able to contact head office for advice, support or even just a friendly ear. We use various online support networks including a private Slack group for all franchisees. From day one you'll be allocated a franchisee mentor, an experienced franchisee who will be a friendly face you can speak to 'off the record'. We also have monthly support groups, guest speakers and an annual face to face Conference event. 

Access to group trade discounts

As a Sparks Film School franchisee you'll be able to access exclusive discounts across a range of services including for business insurance, Canon camera equipment, Amazon Business Supplies and Picturehouse Cinema event hire. The discount package continues to expand and is designed to add value for all franchisees and reduce business running costs. 

What is the total investment for a Sparks Film School franchise territory?

For a standard territory* for a population of 200,000 people, the initial investment is £19,800+VAT, and we ask that all franchisees have at least £6,000 in working capital.

The ongoing license fee is 10% of all turnover, with an additional contribution of 1.5% turnover to the national marketing levy: a fund that is spent on nationwide marketing assets such as photoshoots, marketing tools and social media assets.
